Terms
Plain-English terms for using FuelVerdict. If you use the site, these are the terms.
Preview only. The verdict is still calibrating. Prices on this site, when shown, are historical and delayed. A live price feed is not connected.

Information, not advice
FuelVerdict is general information about historical fuel prices. It is not financial advice. It is not personal advice. It is not a recommendation to buy fuel, to wait, or to buy or sell anything else. It is not a financial product.
You decide whether to fill up. Check the price on the bowser before you pay. That is the price that matters.
Prices
Prices on this site are historical and delayed. They come from monthly Queensland Government files, not from a live feed. They may differ from the price at the bowser, including by a long way when the file is weeks or months old.
A time shown next to a price is when that historical record was made, in Australian Eastern Standard Time. It is not a promise that the price is current. The verdict stays on CALIBRATING until a back-test on real Queensland history clears the bar described on How it works. CALIBRATING is not an instruction to fill up or to wait.
Dollar gaps, where shown, describe the gap between historical records after a flat fuel-cost assumption. They are not a quote for a drive you are about to take.
Where the figures come from
The figures are from State of Queensland (Queensland Treasury), under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). What we change, and the file list, are on Data sources. The Queensland Government does not endorse FuelVerdict. Do not present these pages as a government site, or a historical record as the live bowser price.
The Fuel Prices Queensland live feed is not connected. These terms do not promise a 30-minute update, because the site does not have that feed.
Australian Consumer Law
The Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) gives you consumer guarantees. These terms do not exclude, restrict, or modify those guarantees.
Queensland law
The laws of Queensland, Australia, govern these terms. The courts of Queensland have jurisdiction over disputes about them.
